After working with Maya these view times as a beginner; I feel the software is too constructive in its design process and not particularly creative enough. Where I have articulation in physical 2D drawing and even sculpting, my visual standard is unable to be emulated in this software. Rather than being able to just create my shape simply as I may be able to in a sketch; I must build it by polygon, click and drag, manipulate and create a hollow shell of that shape. I will be searching for other softwares, such as Zbrush - where I feel the design process is closer to what I can achieve.
